Yarn at the Farm - July 25, 2026
Welcome to Yarn at the Farm - a warm, inspiring and personal yarn market in the heart of Österlen, Sweden.
On July 25, we fill our old grain barn and farm with yarn, colour, texture and creativity. A place where yarn dyers, designers and makers come together with visitors for a day of inspiration, conversation and connection.
Wander between carefully selected exhibitors, discover unique yarns, meet the makers, and take your time. Sit down, knit, and simply enjoy the atmosphere.
This is more than a market.
It’s a day to slow down, get inspired, and carry with you long after it ends.

Price: 120 SEK
As with lunch and the evening gathering, seating is available, but if you have a folding chair, feel free to bring it along to be sure of a spot.
As the market winds down, we continue the evening together for those who want to stay.
Simple, relaxed and social, food, conversation, maybe music, and knitting as the sun sets.
For those staying, we'll place a joint pizza order from the pizzeria in Borrby, at self-cost price. Order your own or share one with someone, whatever you fancy.
If the weather's nice, we'll sit outside together and enjoy the sunset. If not, there's plenty of seating indoors in our party barn.
Feel free to bring something nice to fill your glass with. And if you have a folding chair, bring it along, there is seating available, but since we don't know exactly how many will stay for the evening, your own chair means a guaranteed comfy spot.
If you’re travelling, we’re happy to share recommendations for nearby places to stay.
A limited number of camper spots are also available on the farm (for more info contact us at info@blastorpsgard.se)
Yarn at the Farm is held at Blästorps Gård on the outskirts of the small sleepy village of Blästorp - literally in the middle of the triangle between Simrishamn, Ystad and Tomelilla, right in the heart of Österlen. If you've been looking for an excuse to explore Österlen, you're in the right place.
Österlen isn't really about the towns - it's about the 65 villages, each with its own church and character. Borrby, just 3 km from the farm, is known as the "book village" with six second-hand bookshops. It's roughly the same distance to the south coast as to the east coast, meaning you can pick your beach depending on the wind direction. As the event gets closer, we'll be sharing our personal tips on hidden gems in the area.

For house or apartment rentals, Airbnb is a great option - Österlen is dotted with accommodation in all price ranges throughout the summer season. When searching, use Hammenhög or Borrby as your base. Blästorp sits right between these two villages, about 3 km from each.
Yarn at the Farm takes place at Blästorps Gård, our home base for Maruchi Fibres, nestled in the Österlen countryside between Borrby and Hammenhög. The address is Blästorpsvägen 32.
The easiest way to get here is by car, and there's plenty of parking right at the farm.
Travelling by train? The nearest Pågatåget station is Gärsnäs. If you bring your bike on the train, it's a pleasant 8 km ride to the farm. We've also arranged a minibus with 8 seats that runs to and from the station, timed to match trains from Malmö, so you can sit back, relax, and arrive ready to shop.
100 SEK per leg.
